This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and the choices you have. The site is run by Travieso Dog Sanctuary. Questions about this policy can go to tamara@traviesodogsanctuary.com.

Information you give us

Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe for news and updates, we collect your email address. It's stored in our Squarespace account and used only to send those emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed.

Adoption applications and foster/trial forms. When you apply to adopt or foster, we collect your name, email, phone number, city and state, information about your household and daily routine, your answers to the agreements on the form, and your electronic signature. We use this only to review your application, place dogs in safe homes, follow up after placement, and keep a record of the agreement.

Volunteer sign-ups and emails. If you sign up to volunteer or email us, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to include, and use them to reply and coordinate.

Donations. Donations are handled by PayPal and GoFundMe, separate services with their own privacy policies. We receive your name, email, and donation amount from them so we can thank you and keep records.

Information collected automatically

Cookies and analytics. This site is hosted by Squarespace. Some cookies are always used because the site needs them to work securely. Analytics cookies, which help us understand visits (pages viewed, general location, device and browser type, and how you arrived), are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link on the site.

Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

How your information is shared

We don't sell or rent your personal information. It's shared only with the services that run this site and the sanctuary: Squarespace (website hosting, forms, newsletter, analytics), Google (reCAPTCHA), PayPal and GoFundMe (donations). We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.

Ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing tamara@traviesodogsanctuary.com.

Manage cookies through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Do Not Track: this site does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them.

Links to other sites

This site links to Petfinder, Instagram, PayPal, GoFundMe, and other sites we don't control. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Adoption and foster applicants must be adults.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
